»Soulful Advent« by Jocelyn B. Smith & Band - schedule, program & buy tickets

The internationally renowned opera and jazz singer Jocelyn B. Smith, born in Queens New York in 1960, will perform an atmospheric musical soul evening with her 5-piece band in the Mozart Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus on December 9, 2026.

Over the course of her decades-long career, Jocelyn has worked with many internationally renowned artists of various genres such as Udo Jürgens, Lenny White, Alphaville, Falco, Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic, Till Brönner, Thomas Quasthoff, Mikis Theodorakis and many more, releasing over 20 albums and giving over 3000 concerts.

In 2001, she touched 200,000 people with her interpretation of "Amazing Grace" at the Brandenburg Gate during a memorial service for the victims of the September 11th attack in N.Y. USA.

As a social activist living in Berlin, she raises her voice against poverty and social exclusion, offers choirs singing and mentoring workshops in the Berlin Citizens and Neighborhood Center and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit by the German Federal President Frank Walter Steinmeier for her social commitment, subsequently she also received the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin by Mayor Michael Müller.

In 2021, she will lead workshops for Berlin schools based on her "Songs of Substance" concept, sponsored by the Federal Agency for Civic Education, in 2023 she will receive the Beethoven Prize for Human Rights, Poverty Reduction and Diversity, and in 2025 she will be chosen as Ambassador of the Voice as "Instrument of the Year".

With Jocelyn's current single "And it's Love", she dreams of enlightening our children's minds through the power of music and leading them to a better future.
