Since its debut in 1996, over 170 million games have been sold worldwide, making Resident Evil the best-selling survival horror series in video game history and, at the same time, Capcom’s most successful brand in the software sector. A prime example of this enduring success is Resident Evil 4 (Remake, 2023): The title recently surpassed the 10 million mark in units sold worldwide, making it the fastest-selling installment in the entire series.
