A theatrical concert

Nowadays, Grieg's music is often only performed in the concert hall. Morning Mood, Åse's Death, Anitra's Dance, In the Hall of the Mountain King and Solveig's Song are the parts that are known from the suites. But on this evening we hear almost all of the incidental music that Grieg wrote.

Three actors, two singers, the chorus and the orchestra of the Volksoper present a montage of Ibsen's text and Grieg's music, in which the play is condensed as if in a nightmare of Peer.
