The newly announced live dates will finally bring Richter back to mainland Europe for the first time since his world tour in 2024 - on the occasion of his highly acclaimed album "In A Landscape".
In early October, Richter also announced the release of his original soundtrack for Chloé Zhao's upcoming, highly acclaimed feature film 'Hamnet'. Released by Decca Records, the soundtrack will be released digitally on November 21 and physically on vinyl on January 9.
The announcement of the European tour comes just one month after the tenth anniversary of Richter's transcendental project "SLEEP" in September. To mark the occasion, he played the biggest SLEEP concerts to date at Alexandra Palace (London) and released the new album "Sleep Circle" - a 90-minute journey into the hypnagogic state.
One of the most influential and acclaimed composers of his generation, Richter is known for his ability to seamlessly blend classical orchestration with modern electronic elements. His unrivaled talent for translating profound human experiences into music has earned him a worldwide following - his work has been streamed over three billion times to date.
In addition to his solo work, Richter is a prolific collaborator, working with leading creatives and visionaries from a wide range of disciplines. He has composed music for Dior shows by Kim Jones, written ballet scores for choreographies by Wayne McGregor and worked in film and television with directors such as Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese and Ari Folman.
Richter is also co-founder of Studio Richter Mahr, which he set up together with his partner, the visual artist Yulia Mahr. The studio is located in a converted farmhouse in Oxfordshire, surrounded by 31 acres of woodland. It is powered by state of the art solar and heat pump technology and represents a sustainable way of working. The studio serves as a space where established and emerging artists can develop and realize their projects - a place where art, nature and technology come together in an inspiring way.
