This fall, tenor Rame Lahaj presents “Passion & Origin”—a concert journey through the music that has shaped his artistic career, the voices that have inspired him, and the sounds that connect him to his roots. As one of the leading tenors of his generation, Rame Lahaj has already performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; the Opéra national de Paris; the Teatro Real in Madrid; the Deutsche Oper Berlin; the Staatsoper Berlin; the Arena di Verona, the Salzburg Festival, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
With “Passion & Origin,” he gives audiences a glimpse into the personal story behind the artist—a story shaped by ambition, perseverance, discoveries, and an enduring connection to his homeland. Passion is music—the force that has guided him from his first dream to the world’s greatest stages. It is the emotions, discipline, and dedication that continue to guide his artistic life. The program reflects this journey and takes the audience through Italian and French songs, film music, and international classics—from Nino Rota’s “Parla più piano,” Jacques Brel’s “Ne me quitte pas,” and Charles Aznavour’s “La Bohème” to “Bésame mucho,” “Caruso,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and “My Way.” From the elegance of the European chanson to the timeless melodies of the international repertoire, each piece becomes part of a larger musical narrative.
From there, the journey turns toward home, with melodies from Kosovo and Albania that are rooted in tradition, passed down through generations, and deeply connected to the landscapes, languages, and memories that have shaped him.
