When Global Kryner presented its first CD in 2004, the music world was turned upside down. It was love at first sight. The idea was as simple as it was ingenious: take the legendary Oberkrainer sound of Slavko Avsenik, fuse it with world hits, add a pinch of jazz and a lot of wit and the recipe is ready. The Süddeutsche Zeitung jumped for joy and even talked about an "egg-laying wool-milk sow" in terms of music. And with "verkrynern", a new time word was created to boot.
What followed was a ride through all radio and TV formats the like of which has rarely been seen.
Hundreds of concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine and even Mexico. After hot and demanding years of touring, the band said goodbye to the stage in 2013.
But the love never died. On the contrary. Now comes: Global Kryner "2nd Love"!

Back in the summer of 2024, Global Kryner, led by music cabaret artist and clarinettist Christof Spörk and Oberkrainer accordion veteran Anton Sauprügl, decided to take off again. Trombonist and neo-fish farmer Martin Temmel didn't have to be asked twice. Markus Pechmann, now one of the most sought-after jazz trumpeters in the country, hired a veritable vocal miracle in singer Miriam Kulmer. The band was also joined by "Mister Groove", jazz guitarist and singer-songwriter Andreas Haidecker. But watch out: there will be no rehashing of old hits. The band is meticulously preparing for their comeback. New typical "Verkrynerungen" have to be included, yes, of course! But this time there will also be specially composed songs. You can be curious.
All prepared with a lot of love, just not for the first time, but "2nd Love" so to speak!
