These words from Wilhelm Busch's Max and Moritz, which are characteristic of the work about the two rascals, have become an integral part of the German language. Who doesn't know them? Max and Moritz, these two, who get up to all kinds of mischief and not only annoy Widow Bolte and Teacher Lämpel, but the entire village and turn it upside down. They embody an archetypal humor that has shaped generations and continues to have an impact today. With them, Wilhelm Busch created characters who challenge the bourgeois order of their environment and reduce it to absurdity with an anarchic delight in breaking the rules.

In this amusing and lively ballet version by Ferenc Barbay and Michael Kropf, set to the music of Gioachino Rossini, this special world is told anew through dance.
