The Grand New Year's Eve Concert - Schedule, Program & Tickets

For a happy and festive start to the New Year, we invite you on an imaginative sleigh ride through the snow-covered winter forest. Our journey starts with the first snowfall, conjures up the peaceful atmosphere of a sunny winter morning, leads past snow-covered landscapes, frozen streams and lakes, until the first harbingers of spring appear at the end.

What would a "musical sleigh ride" be without Leopold Mozart's most famous composition of the same name? We will also be accompanied by music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Leroy Anderson and Frederick Delius as well as the Czech composer Vítězslava Kaprálová in the already familiar mix of familiar melodies and composers yet to be discovered at our New Year's Eve concert.

Of course, the compositions of the Strauss family and their contemporaries will not be missing. This definitely includes the popular "Schlittschuhläufer-Walzer" by Émile Waldteufel. But Josef Strauss' Polka schnell "Eislauf" or his newly discovered waltz "Wintermärchen" will also get us in the mood for the New Year, as will the "Schneeglöckchen-Walzer" by his famous brother Johann, before we end the New Year's Eve concert with the "Frühlingsstimmen".
