The internationally acclaimed actress Martina Gedeck and the renowned pianist Sebastian Knauer take us on an atmospheric journey through time in words and music, following in the biographical footsteps of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. None other than Baroness Martha Elisabeth von Waldstätten, once his close confidante and a well-known figure in Viennese aristocratic society, talks candidly about the composer and the important women in his life in an imaginary soliloquy. These include his wife Constanze, her sister Aloisia Weber, Bäsle alias Marianne Thekla Mozart and Nancy Storace, the first Susanna in "Figaro". Works written by Mozart, which are closely associated with some of his piano students, provide a sonorous accompaniment to the confessions and offer a unique, humorous and sometimes intimate look at the great composer and his (emotional) life.
