Richard Wagner: "Götterdämmerung" - Schedule, Program & Tickets

The Dresden Music Festival's unique project "The Wagner Cycles" shows that Richard Wagner's famous "Ring" epic can still elicit completely new auditory impressions. Since 2023, one part of the tetralogy has been prepared each year in close collaboration with a renowned team of scientists and performed in Dresden and on tour in the music centers of Europe in a historically informed musical style. The result has delighted audiences and critics alike. The New York Times, for example, placed "Die Walküre" from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw on its list of the world's best performances in 2024. Transparent orchestral sound and declamatory precision from the singers should also be guaranteed in "Götterdämmerung". For the dramatic finale, the specially founded Dresden Festival Choir will also add an impressive tonal dimension to the large-scale project.
