Baroque music that sings of the colors of the sea: Simone Kermes brings the ocean to the city on the Elbe with her program "Colori del Mare", a sequel to her bestselling album "Colori d'amore" - with arias of wind and waves, sea brilliance and storm danger, silence and happy seafaring. The well-known composers Handel, Vivaldi and Hasse are joined here by some rarely heard arias by the Italian Giovanni Bononcini, who was once Handel's greatest rival on the wave-swept London opera scene. After an embarrassing plagiarism affair, his name disappeared from music history for a long time and was only recently rediscovered. So set the blood-red sails - and ahoy! The Dresden Frauenkirche Foundation also welcomes donors to this concert who have
donors who have supported and continue to support the reconstruction and life in the Frauenkirche.
