Tradition is tradition - especially when it is this beautiful - and so the Crucians' Serenade in the Green has become as much a part of Whit Sunday as the Christmas Oratorio is of Advent! In any case, it has become an integral part of the musical calendar. The Dresdner Kreuzchor, the oldest cultural institution in the state capital of Dresden and one of the most famous boys' choirs in the world, under the direction of its Kreuzkantor Martin Lehmann, once again delights audiences this season in the royal ambience of Pillnitz Palace and Park with classical songs, well-known folk tunes and contemporary arrangements. In addition to the tried and tested, the afternoon serenade under a (hopefully) blue sky also has a few surprises in store - and even that is a nice tradition.
