When one of the most sought-after and versatile cello virtuosos meets a keyboard wizard dubbed a rebel on the harpsichord, it gives the recital a completely new color and adds a very special accent to "Cellomania". Nicolas Altstaedt and Jean Rondeau have been a well-rehearsed team in chamber music for many years and have developed a joint repertoire for their two instruments. For this extraordinary concert, the two exploratory musicians have selected works by Johann Sebastian Bach and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach - in keeping with the baroque ambience of the Palais im Großen Garten.
