"In the transatlantic combination of music and literature, speech and song, Murray and Vogler achieve great things, namely a dedusting of the canon freed from all reverence," wrote the FAZ enthusiastically about the "New Worlds" program in 2017. Actor Bill Murray, cellist Jan Vogler, violinist Mira Wang and pianist Vanessa Perez came together as a quartet especially for the show and caused a sensation on stages around the world, from Carnegie Hall to the Sidney Opera House. A film about this unique show of literature and music premiered at the legendary Cannes Film Festival in 2021. Now the Hollywood legend and the musical trio are returning to Dresden, where the project's success story began. Classics of American literature meet their musical counterparts from the pens of Piazzolla, Bernstein and Gershwin, for example, and open up "new worlds" for the audience. And so the festival season draws to a close with an unforgettable highlight that once again duly celebrates the "LIGHTNESS OF BEING".
