Anyone who makes a pilgrimage to Chopin's grave at the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris to lay a rose there should also spend a minute at the nearby grave of the Polish-French pianist and ardent Chopin admirer Miłosz Magin (born in 1929, died in 1999 on a concert tour to Tahiti). The centerpiece of today's collaboration between the pianist Lucas Debargue, a gifted musical maverick, and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra is Magin's extremely rarely performed fourth piano concerto. An artistic tightrope walk, jazzy and pulsating, plunging into the deepest oceans of sound and then flying around weightlessly like the little feather at the beginning of "Forrest Gump"... a real insider tip!
