Anyone who loves the cello cannot ignore him: Friedrich Dotzauer. Born in 1783, the cellist and composer earned himself a reputation as one of the best virtuosos of his time as a soloist in the legendary Dresden court orchestra. Concert tours took him throughout Germany and the Netherlands, and as a teacher he influenced a large number of cellists. With Norbert Anger, Sebastian Fritsch and Friedrich Thiele, the three concertmasters cello of the Staatskapelle Dresden follow in Dotzauer's footsteps and invite you to discover his oeuvre. Arrangements of popular opera melodies, duos and solo pieces provide a sonorous insight into the work of this great musician. And where better to enjoy this music than in the idyllic Palais im Großen Garten!
