It all began in Dresden: in 1733, Johann Sebastian Bach applied for a court post with a Kyrie and Gloria - he got it a few years later. These were the first building blocks for one of the most important works of sacred music, which is revered worldwide today. It has a permanent place at the Frauenkirche and is regularly one of the highlights of our Musica Sacra.
