The US-American Alisa Weilerstein, described by the UK Telegraph simply as a "phenomenon", is one of the outstanding cellists of her generation and combines consummate artistry with emotional devotion and interpretative depth. Now the musician can be experienced with her groundbreaking season-spanning solo cello project "FRAGMENTS", with which she aims to take the concert experience to new dimensions. The project, consisting of six programs, of which Nos. 1 and 2 can be experienced in Dresden, combines the 36 movements of Bach's cello suites with 27 new commissioned compositions by leading composers of our time in a multi-sensory production. The result is a total work of art that creates breathtaking connections in combination with visual elements.
