Mayerling
Anger, passion, submission and ghost appearances characterize the latest music drama by poet and musician Ernst Molden. In the tradition of Ferdinand Raimund he seduces us once again into a bizarre magic fairytale.
An obsessed poacher has nothing left to lose and retires to the forest near Mayerling. Hounded by the police, he kidnaps a nun and starts to search for the mighty white Hubertus stag.
The undead Crown Prince Rudolf, with whom the modernization loser embarks on his last wild hunt, is helping.
With the productions HAFEN WIEN and HÄUSERL AM OASCH, the long-dead genre of the singspiel by Ernst Molden was successfully revived. Both the public's interest, as well as the national and international reviews testify, in addition to the nomination of the soundtrack of HÄUSERL AM OASCH for the AMADEUS 2010, and two Nestroy nominations for 2014 for HAFEN WIEN, from a highly successful resuscitation.
