Spanish Riding School - Performance

Performance
THE WORLD FAMOUS PERFORMANCES The Lipizzaner - the ballet of the white stallions - take place in the, under Charles VI built, unique baroque winter riding school in the Hofburg. These demonstrations are the result of many years of training and intensive work by the riders and their Lipizzaner horses.

Young stallions enchant the audience as well as the already fully trained school stallions who show themselves in the school quadrille, at the schools on and above the ground, at the pas de deux and on the long rein.
Lipizzaners are intelligent and lively horses, which are particularly suitable for the art of riding of the high school due to their physique and their grace. They are the oldest culture horse breed in Europe. The continuation of their traditional breeding and the practice
and preservation of the high school of classical equestrian art are among the core tasks of the Spanish Riding School and the Lipizzaner Stud Piber.

For the demonstrations in what is probably the most beautiful riding hall in the world, a particularly atmospheric lighting concept was developed with the support of the multimedia artist André Heller. Enjoy the wonderful performance of the trainers and in this atmosphere
their Lipizzaners, accompanied by classical Viennese music!
