My Fair Lady

Musical by Frederick Loewe
In German language

Even the ancient Greeks told the legend of the sculptor Pygmalion, who created a statue of women of such overwhelming beauty that he fell in love with her. Aphrodite proved to be merciful, brought the statue to life and gave her to Pygmalion. George Bernard Shaw transformed the antique fabric into the enchanting comedy Pygmalion, which was used by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe in 1956 as a model for their successful musical My Fair Lady.
