OF THE ARNOLD SCHOENBERG CHOIR
He has been the opera choir of the Theater an der Wien since 2006, but the success story of the Arnold Schoenberg Choir goes back much further. Founded in 1972 by Erwin Ortner, this vocal ensemble celebrates its 50th anniversary on October 26th. A good reason to celebrate! And what could be more obvious than to do this with a large concert that demonstrates the whole versatility of this choir. The guest list includes Schütz, Distler, Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Bruckner, Schönberg, Eisler, Ligeti and Cerha. We congratulate and look forward to this gift!
