The show leads into the mysterious world of Shaolin monks and Zen Buddhism. It tells the story of the temple, depicted in impressive pictures on the holy mountain Song Shan, the training of the monks and follows the traces of the Zen founder Boddhidharma.
19 of the best masters and shamis (disciples), led by their 75-year-old old master, present their incredible abilities beyond the limits of physics in a two-hour show. The control of their Qi (body energy) through breathing and training makes them smash stone slabs, wooden slats and iron rods on their bodies and heads, lay on spears, swords and nail boards, point spear tips against their throat and even throw a sewing needle through a glass pane.
Show producer Herbert Fechter, who has been showing the original Shaolin masters, students and monks around the world with their incredible body exercises for 25 years, has put together the spectacular anniversary show.
