Bryan Hymel - Schedule, Program & Tickets

Bryan Hymel

The charismatic US-American tenor Bryan Hymel was already on 14 February 2016 and on 13 November 2017 in the series of the World Opera Stars of Nachtigall Artists. With his first notes he enchanted the audience in the Smetana Hall. Bryan Hymel is rightly considered the new king of the high "Cs", as confirmed by one of his reviews: Pavarotti is over - Bryan Hymel is here.

Bryan soon became world-famous when he joined his sick colleagues as an Énée in Berlioz's Les Troyens - one of his outstanding roles - at Covent Garden in London (for Jonas Kaufmann) and later at the Metropolitan Opera in New York (for New York) Marcello Giordani). He is a welcome guest not only to the Metropolitan Opera or Covent Garden, but also the Milan Scala, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Opéra National de Paris. In the 2018/2019 season include his opera roles Raoul de Nangis (Meyerbeer: Les Huguenots) and Énée (Berlioz: Les Troyens) at the Opéra National de Paris, Arrigo (Verdi: Les vêpres siciliennes) at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Rodolfo (Puccini: La Bohème) at the Vienna State Opera, Duke of Mantua (Verdi: Rigoletto) at the Metropolitan Opera and Don José (Bizet: Carmen) in Covent Garden.

The Greek soprano Irini Kyriakidou is the special guest of this concert. Previously, she was a guest at the Greek National Opera in Athens, at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at Covent Garden in London or in May 2018 at the Opéra de Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
